Gather those twigs and branches for some Winter Decor

Many of us in Missouri have been snowbound this past week. Today is a particularly grey day, but even with the sun shining, our view seems to be that of dead tree branches.  Well, you know the saying, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade".  I had that in mind as I visited these pictures on the Houzz website.  If you haven't browsed this awesome collection of photos, you're missing out.  You can do a search for something specific or choose a style or space from the column on the left.

I am using greenery from our PROLIFIC cedar trees and rosemary bushes. The house smells great, and last week my brother brought me some east Texas pinecones. I tossed them into a big bowl with other smaller cones and a few sweet gum balls....
I guess spring is coming though, so I will be out hunting a few fruit twigs and flowering quince to force the blooms on! I already have a couple of hyacinth bulbs potted to bring us some spring fragrance!!
Hope all is well with you,
Jaybird
